mwbamwbqLestonia mwbgChina, 1955, è un mwbwgenere di mwcainsetti mwcqPentatomomorfi dell'mwcgordine mwcwRhynchota mwdaHeteroptera, superfamiglia mwdqPentatomoidea. È l'unico genere della famiglia mwdgLestoniidae mwdwChina, 1955, e comprende due sole specie, mweaendemiche dell'mweqAustralia.

Descrizione

Sono insetti con corpo di piccole dimensioni, di profilo ovale, fortemente convesso sul dorso e appiattito sul ventre. L'mwfqesoscheletro mostra delle espansioni laminari del mwfgcapo, del mwfwpronoto e delle mwgaemielitre ed è ornato sul dorso da un'evidente punteggiatura.

Il capo è carenato lateralmente, è provvisto di mwggocelli e porta mwgwantenne di 5 articoli. Lo mwhascutello è molto sviluppato e arriva, in lunghezza, fino all'estremità dell'mwhqaddome. Le mwhgzampe hanno tarsi composti da due segmenti.

Biologia, diffusione e sistematica

Sono insetti mwiqfitofagi, associati a piante del genere mwigmwiwCallitris (mwjaCupressaceae). Il genere comprende le sole specie mwjqLestonia haustorifera e mwjwLestonia grossi, entrambe endemiche dell'Australia.
